چکیده
Abstract: Elucidating the physiological and ecological mechanisms of seed dormancy germination is great significance for species conservation application plant resources. Based on Baskin Baskin’s classification system dormancy, cause in Tarenaya hassleriana (Cleomaceae) seeds was studied using alternating temperature, cold moist stratification, dry storage, GA3 soaking treatment. The results indicated that fresh mature T. had a combinational including physical type 2 non-deep were photoblastic, with an optimal temperature 35°C. In addition, may be efficiently released from promoted to germinate by 20 °C/30 °C, stratification following storage. Furthermore, treatment could also promote release subsequent at 35 storage 5-15 °C. These suggested there complex cross-talks among phytohormone, osmotic potential, signaling regulatory pathways during seeds, which deserve further study.

Physical forces in dormancy and germination of xanthium seeds.
The germination of seeds of Xanthium pensylvanicum Wallr. occurs in 2 phases, an initial passive phase of water uptake followed by an active phase of growth. These 2 phases have been separated experimentally, and shown to occur similarly in isolated cotyledons and embryonic axes. Measurements of the physical thrust generated by the entire seed and its separate components of cotyledon and axis r...

The Brassicaceae, including Arabidopsis thaliana and Brassica crops, is unmatched among plants in its wealth of genomic and functional molecular data and has long served as a model for understanding gene, genome, and trait evolution. However, genome information from a phylogenetic outgroup that is essential for inferring directionality of evolutionary change has been lacking. We therefore seque...
متن کاملSeed dormancy and germination.
Seed dormancy and germination are complex adaptive traits of higher plants that are influenced by a large number of genes and environmental factors. Studies of genetics and physiology have shown the important roles of the plant hormones abscisic acid and gibberellin in the regulation of dormancy and germination. More recently, the use of quantitative genetics and mutant approaches has allowed t...

Seeds are a vital component of the world’s diet. Cereal grains alone, which comprise -90% of all cultivated seeds, contribute up to half of the global per capita energy intake. Not surprisingly then, seed biology is one of the most extensively researched areas in plant physiology. Even in relation to the topics reviewed here, a casual perusal of the Agricola database reveals that well over 5000...
